Part of the OSE in Africa group — the intelligence infrastructure for entrepreneurial ecosystems
ADALIA Institute
For institutions

Building the capacity of those who steer ecosystems.

ADALIA designs and delivers tailored capacity-building solutions — programmes, workshops, seminars, missions, convenings — for the institutions that fund, regulate and support entrepreneurship across Africa. Every solution is grounded in the OSE scientific framework and the living data of the Observatory.

A UN agency, a development bank, a ministry are not looking for a course catalogue: they are looking for a partner able to design, with them, the solution that will build the capacity of their teams and their ecosystem. That is ADALIA's craft.

Seven solutions, one scientific standard

Every solution is tailored — duration, format, language, audience — and built on the OSE five-layer framework. All are available online, in person or in a hybrid format.

Certifying programme — tailored01 / 07

Capacity-building programme — Ecosystem Builders

The flagship solution: a structured curriculum that builds the capacity of a cohort of officials to design and steer entrepreneurial ecosystems.

Who it's for

Officials of UN and public agencies, DFI teams, programme managers — in cohorts of 15 to 30 participants.

Format

6 to 12 weeks · online or hybrid · dedicated cohort · OSE-ADALIA Certificate

The programme
  • Reading an ecosystem: the five-layer framework applied to the participant's own territory
  • Diagnosing & mapping on OSE Expert — hands-on work on real data
  • Designing an intervention: theory of change, levers, sequencing
  • Funding & measuring: allocation, indicators, impact evaluation
  • Capstone workshop: each participant leaves with a roadmap for their organisation
What the institution gains

A cohort equipped with a common language and method, operational roadmaps, and an individual OSE-ADALIA certificate.

Facilitated workshop — 1 to 3 days02 / 07

Design Thinking & Innovation Deck© workshops

Intensive design workshops that turn an intention — a programme, a policy, a product — into a concrete, testable solution.

Who it's for

Project teams, innovation units and cross-departmental task forces that need to design fast and well.

Format

1 to 3 days · in person or online · 8 to 24 participants · ADALIA facilitation

The programme
  • Framing the challenge and immersion in the context
  • Guided ideation with the Innovation Deck© — ADALIA's design-thinking method
  • Rapid prototyping and stakeholder testing
  • Action plan and success criteria
What the institution gains

A prototyped, prioritised and documented concept, ready to be appraised — and a team trained in the design-thinking approach.

Accompaniment — multi-organisation03 / 07

Portfolio accompaniment — funded incubators & accelerators

A collective track to build the capacity, in a single move, of all the support organisations a funder or DFI finances.

Who it's for

DFIs, funders and foundations backing a portfolio of incubators, accelerators or entrepreneurship programmes.

Format

3 to 9 months · multi-organisation cohort · online · accompaniment + labelling

The programme
  • Entry diagnostic of each organisation against the OSE standard
  • Collective sessions: structuring, measuring and professionalising a support scheme
  • Individual accompaniment of each organisation between sessions
  • Labelling of organisations along OSE principles
  • Consolidated dashboard for the funder — portfolio progression
What the institution gains

A consistent, professionalised portfolio, labelled organisations, and a consolidated read on capacity growth for the funder.

Executive seminar — 0.5 to 2 days04 / 07

Executive seminars & masterclasses

Short, dense formats for decision-makers: aligning an executive committee, a board or a high-level group on a shared reading of ecosystems.

Who it's for

Ministers and cabinets, DFI and agency leadership, boards, senior officials.

Format

Half a day to two days · in person or online · speakers from the OSE scientific council

The programme
  • Panorama: where Africa's entrepreneurial ecosystems stand, with the data
  • The five-layer framework as a decision grid
  • A guided case study on the institution's own territory
  • Strategic discussion and implications for the decision-maker's agenda
What the institution gains

A committee aligned on a shared reading grid, and concrete implications for the decisions ahead.

Mission — diagnostic + training05 / 07

Diagnostic + training missions

ADALIA's signature pairing: an ecosystem diagnostic on OSE Expert, then a training programme built on its findings — you learn on your own data.

Who it's for

Ministries, agencies and funders that want both to objectify an ecosystem and to train the team in charge of it.

Format

6 to 12 weeks · diagnostic + training cycle · documented deliverable + cohort

The programme
  • Diagnostic of the target ecosystem on the OSE Expert platform
  • Debrief of strengths, fragilities and blind spots, layer by layer
  • A training cycle built on the lessons of the diagnostic
  • Co-design of a prioritised action plan with the team
What the institution gains

A documented ecosystem diagnostic, a team trained on its own reality, and an action plan owned by those who will carry it out.

Certifying programme — trainers06 / 07

OSE-ADALIA Certified Trainers programme

For institutions that want to spread the framework in-house: training and certifying their own trainers to multiply impact without dependency.

Who it's for

In-house training centres, agency academies and networks that want to internalise capacity building.

Format

8 to 10 weeks · online · trainer certification · teaching kit provided

The programme
  • Mastery of the five-layer framework and its applications
  • Instructional design: building and running a module
  • Hands-on with the teaching kit and OSE tools
  • Practice sessions, assessment and certification
What the institution gains

Certified in-house OSE-ADALIA trainers, a teaching kit transferred, and the autonomy to deploy the method at scale.

Convening — bespoke conference07 / 07

Bespoke convenings & conferences

From the INNODAYS conference to closed policy labs: gatherings that bring an ecosystem together around data and decision.

Who it's for

Institutions that want to convene an ecosystem — a summit, a policy lab, a high-level round table, a network event.

Format

Bespoke format and audience · in person, online or hybrid · design + facilitation

The programme
  • Editorial framing: the question that brings people together
  • Programming and mobilising speakers — including the OSE scientific council
  • Facilitation of policy labs and working sessions
  • An actionable synthesis and debrief after the event
What the institution gains

A landmark gathering, a mobilised ecosystem, and a synthesis that turns the event into decisions.

Our method

Tailored, but never improvised.

No ADALIA solution is sold off the shelf. Each one follows the same design discipline.

01

Framing

We start from your institutional objective, your audience and your constraints — not from a catalogue. A joint framing defines the scope and the expected outcomes.

02

Science-grounded design

The solution is built on the OSE five-layer framework, peer-reviewed and validated by an international scientific council.

03

Delivery

Online, in person or hybrid, in French or English, for a single cohort or an entire portfolio of organisations.

04

Measurement & certification

Assessment of learning, certification of participants and a consolidated report to the commissioning institution.
